By becoming a YANA School, students and educators join a vital movement that has been working to end family violence for over fifty years.

Every day, families in Victoria are impacted by the devastating effects of family violence. YANA has been working tirelessly to provide crisis accomodation, counselling, and support for those escaping abuse since 1974.

This year, schools across Victoria are coming together to show that we care, we act, and we stand together against family violence.

By becoming a YANA School, your community can raise vital funds that go directly towards supporting vulnerable families rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. YANA Schools are also provided with age-appropriate resources to support classroom discussions around safety, empathy, and seeking help.

How it works:

Sign up as a YANA School by filling out the form below. We will then contact you for a chat about your needs and make sure that everything is clear.

2.

YANA will send you tailored educational content and resources, along with suggested lesson plans and discussion topics.

3.

YANA will also provide the materials you need to fundraise for women and children fleeing family violence.

Your school will recieve:

  • Tailored educational materials, lesson plans and resources

  • Materials for fundraising like posters, social media graphics and press releases

  • Ideas for fundraising

Once you have completed your fundraising:

  • A certificate of recognition to display at your school

  • A guest speaker options for assemblies (subject to availability)
